Banner of Love ♡

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love- Song of Solomon 2:4. A banquet is not a picnic, nor those little chic gatherings where hors d'oeuvre are served. No, a banquet is the crown jewel of meals. It is course after course of culinary delight and entertainment. Let me guide your thoughts to one of the iconic photographs of The Duchess, Kate Middleton staring adoringly into her Prince’s face on their wedding day; a picture truly worth a thousand words. He had brought her into his banqueting house and he had just sworn to have and to hold her from that day onward, to love and to cherish her till death separated them. Beautiful isn’t it? The dream of every little girl and the prayer of every bride. To be treasured and loved in ways no words can describe. Lifter of my head- The woman in the dust

In body language, a completely lowered head with slumped shoulders speaks volumes, according to author James Borg, “you’re looking down because you’re feeling down”. The combination is mesmerizing, absolutely intoxicating. I can only describe the experience as finally arriving at my destination after decades of confusing and weary travelling. It was liberating, completing, breathtaking. I envied people who had that with Him, people who could go into their secret place and just be filled with the beautiful, peaceful, healing intimacy of the Most High God. A love that consumes you with reckless abandon. And then I found Him. I didn’t bump into him, actually, I sought after Him but somehow my efforts were sabotaged. I went two steps forward and four steps backwards. My attempts just weren’t consistent enough, and even times I tried to focus, it felt like I had a secret enemy lurking in the dark. An enemy that knew me all too well and could get me in a twist ...
